Roland Edward Stoehner

Roland E. Stoehner was born in 20-FEB 1925.  Roland’s parents were Edward (1902-1970) and Emma Wilhemina Stiegemeier Stoehner (1902-1976) of St. Charles Missouri.  Roland had four brothers Irvin, Bob. Jim, and Roy and one sister, Joyce.  The family lived in St. Charles Missouri.

Roland attended St. Charles High School for three years before enlisting 12-JUL 1943 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.

On 25-JAN 1945, Private Roland E. Stoehner was reported missing in action by the Warrenton Banner.  It was later discovered he was captured on the first day of the Battle of the Ardennes (Bulge) in Germany 16-DEC 1944.  The St. Louis Post Dispatch would report Roland was liberated on 25-JUN 1945.
