Ken Segelhorst
Ken Segelhorst grew up in St. Peters and O’Fallon, Missouri. He graduated from Fort Zumwalt South High School in 2000. Ken commissioned into the United States Army in May 2004 through the Reserve Officer Training Program (ROTC) program at the University of Missouri. His decision to serve was shaped early by family influence and a strong sense of duty, reinforced by the events of September 11 while he was still a cadet.
Following commissioning, he attended the Armor Officer Basic Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky, followed by the Scout Leaders Course and Ranger School at Fort Benning, Georgia. Ranger School proved to be a defining early experience, emphasizing leadership under sustained physical and mental stress and establishing a personal benchmark he would carry throughout his career.
Ken Segelhorst retired from the United States Army as a lieutenant colonel in October 2024 after more than twenty years of service.
