Neal Brian Pearman
Neal Pearman was born 23-FEB 1946 in Mecca Indiana. His parents were Frank Pearman (1915-1965) and Dorothy Lorena Douglas (1913-2014). He had two brothers Thomas and James.
Neal attended North Salem High School in Indiana. While at North Salem, Neal played basketball, baseball, ran track and cross country. He was in the 4-H Club and school plays and Honor Society.
He enlisted 17-AUG 1973. His Army serial number was 306465731. He would serve 22 years and six months. For 18 years he served as an Administrative Specialist. For 4 years he served as Personnel Senior Sergeant. Neal’s last duty assignment was Fort McPherson with United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) in Company A.
During his time in service, Neal primarily lived in the Midwest and Midsouth: Fort Sheridan, IL, St. Louis, MO, Atlanta GA. He lived in St. Louis and Georgia likely during his time as a recruiter, MOS 79R. Generally, most of the U.S. Army’s recruiters are on a three-year special duty assignment. Once their recruiting duties are over, they are reassigned back to their primary Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) job. The best soldiers in each career field are nominated to be recruiters.

He married Kathleen Levonne Johnson 26-MAY 1973. They had two sons. Neal later married Cheryl Rowland of O’Fallon Missouri.
He retired from active duty in 1985 in Atlanta, GA, retiring as Master Sergeant E-8.
Neal Brian Pearman died 13-AUG 1990 in Georgia and is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma, IN.
