Scott Anthony Andrews
Scott Anthony Andrews was born 31-MAY 1989 in Fall River Massachusetts. His father was Alfred Andrews and his mother was Jo Ann Mello. He had two brothers: Matthew Alan and David Evan Andrews. Scott attended B.M.C. Durfee High School before receiving his G.E.D. Andrews enlisted in the Army in February 2008 and was trained as a construction equipment operator and mechanic with an Army engineering unit.
Scott was assigned to the 618th Engineer Support Company, 27th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died June 21 at Forward Operating Base Lagman, Zabul province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

Andrews, 21, “dreamed of buying a multifamily house so he, his two older brothers and his father could all be together. He also wanted a boat so he and his father could spend time on the water clamming” his grandmother Lydia Andrews said Tuesday at her Fall River home.
A funeral Mass for Army Spc. Scott Andrews was held Saturday at Holy Name Church. It was followed by a procession through the city that took him to St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River for burial with full military honors.
