Fallen 13 Memorial Installed on Museum Grounds

Honoring Our Fallen Soldiers Who Died 26-AUG 2021

Today we installed a very special memorial on the museum grounds, The Fallen 13 Memorial honors the thirteen killed by a suicide bomber last year at Kabul Airport on 26-AUG 2021.  The memorial was commissioned by two patriots from Fredericktown Missouri.  Linda and Kevin Hundhausen, formerly of St. Charles County, were moved to build a lasting tribute for the 11 Marines, 1 Army Soldier, and 1 Navy Corpsman who lost their lives during the humanitarian mission.  Thank you, Kevin and Linda.  The memorial was installed by Parkland Monument Company of Farmington MO.  Thank you to Jeff, Kevin, and Syd of Parkland.

We will officially dedicate the memorial on Saturday, 27-AUG 2022 with a ceremony beginning at 6:45 PM. The dedication of the memorial coincides with the visit of the Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall here at the museum from 24-AUG to 28-AUGUST.  For more information, click on the link below.
